Getting started
Create your workspace, invite teammates, and publish your first changelog entry in under five minutes.
Releasedog turns the work you're already doing — shipping pull requests, closing Jira tickets — into a changelog your users actually read. This guide walks through the first five minutes.
1. Create your workspace
After signing up, pick a subdomain. That becomes your public changelog URL: your-workspace.releasedog.com. Short and memorable beats clever — you'll link to this from your product and docs.
2. Connect an integration
Jira is the quickest way to get signal in. Connect it from Settings → Integrations, pick a project, and Releasedog will pull completed issues into a draft the moment you click New release.
3. Publish your first release
From the dashboard, click New release. The AI drafts from your connected sources; you edit in the Plate editor, then hit publish. Your public page updates immediately.
Where to next
- Connect Jira to pull completed issues automatically.
- Customize your public changelog branding and domain.
- Set up a weekly cadence — the habit matters more than the tool.
